King Abdullah Directs to Change the Name of “Eastern Riyadh Hospital” to “Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital”

   The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, May Allah protect him, has issued directives to name the “Eastern Riyadh Hospital” after the deceased Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, May Allah bless his soul, thus becoming “Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital”. This hospital accommodates 500 beds at a total cost of 455 million SR. It is located on an area of more than 120.000 m2. Over 90% of the construction works have been already accomplished, and right now work is underway to equip and furnish it.
This was made known by the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, who pointed out that the hospital is reckoned one of the large hospitals, and a discernible addition to the MOH's hospitals serving the citizens and residents of eastern Riyadh. The hospital is built and designed according to the U.S. code, which is one of the most important specifications fulfilling the needs of the beneficiaries of the service, he added.
Meanwhile, His Excellency Dr. Al-Rabeeah extended his sincere thanks and immense gratitude to the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the endless and limitless support for the health sector, as well as its unremitting endeavor to develop health services and provide the best and fullest healthcare services for the citizens of this gracious country.
It is worth mentioning that the project of Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital consists of the main building, located in the center of the project. It contains all the needed medical services, including so many surgery units, radiology units, emergency units, burns units and laboratory units, in addition to the blood bank. It also includes intensive and medium care units, pharmacy, inpatients' wards and rooms, outpatient clinics, aside from the Physical Therapy Department. It also contains a wide range of services necessary meant to provide sound curative services.
The ground floor of the hospital consists of the main lobby, the administration, medical records, library, classrooms, lecture hall, the Procurement and Finance Department, dining halls, laboratories, the blood bank, the radiology unit, the emergency unit, the rehabilitation center (physical therapy), outpatient clinics (covering the following medical areas: internal medicine, respiratory, pediatrics, gynecology, dentistry, diabetes, urology, dermatology, and kidney diseases).
