MOH Provides Health Services to Over 281,000 Pilgrims

The Ministry of Health's (MOH) hospitals and health centers in Makkah, Madinah, Mina and Arafat have received, on Sunday September 11th, 2016 (corresponding to Dhu al-Hijjah 9th, 1437H), 48,575 pilgrims and provided them with all health services.
 
According to the medical records of these facilities 586 pilgrims were admitted, 553 hospitalized, 24 undergone kidney dialysis, open heart surgery performed on a patient, 2 cardiac catheterization operations, in addition to 1,182 emergency cases, 9 sunstrokes and 63 heat exhaustion cases. 
  
Within the same vein, the total number of visitors to the health facilities, during the period from August 4th – Sept. 11th, 2016 (corresponding to Dhu al-Qi'dah 1st - Dhu al-Hijjah 9th, 1437H), amounted to 281,439 pilgrims. The recorded cases include admission of 2,454 pilgrims, kidney dialysis for 1,634 patients, 25 pilgrims undergone open heart surgery, 291 cardiac catheterization operations, in addition to 12,212 emergency and 18 sunstroke and 87 heat exhaustion cases.
