The Advisor to His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health and Supervisor-General of Hospitals Affairs at the Ministry of Health (MOH), Dr. Hani Jokhdar, has opened the workshop for medical directors of referral hospitals in regions to deal with injuries. The workshop, held at the MOH Headquarters, was attended by Director-General of Hospitals Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Ghamdi and Director-General of Al-Baha Health Affairs Dr. Meshal Al-Sayali.
Director-General of Emergencies Department at the MOH Dr. Sattam Al-Anzi stated that the workshop aims to shed light on the injuries project which is supervised by the department, in collaboration with the emergencies department's technical support program and a number of emergency and surgery consultants and injury medicine specialists in the different health sectors.
Following the workshop, members of the injuries projects, Al-Anzi added, will pay field visits to the referral hospitals to ensure that they are ready as injury centers with the second level as per classification of the American College of Surgeons. He hoped that the project will be fruitful and achieve its desired objectives, as it is supported by the MOH and health directorates in the regions, in the context of the efforts exerted to improve the quality of services provided for patients with injuries.
