His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, will lead the Saudi delegation participating in the 5th Islamic Conference of Health Ministers (ICHM), will be held over the period from November 17th to 19th, 2015 (corresponding to Safar 5th to 7th, 1437H), in Istanbul, Turkey.
This was announced by the MOH Spokesman, Eng. Faisal Al-Zahrani, who pointed out that the delegation accompanying the Minister of Health comprises the Deputy Minister of Health for Public Health, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Saeed, the Assistant Deputy Minister of Health for Primary Healthcare, Dr. Hisham bin Ibrahim Al-Khashan, and the Director-General of Communicable Diseases Control, Dr. Ra’fat bin Faisal Al-Hakim.
The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including cancer control, readiness and response to emergency health circumstances, technology addiction, and the role of non-governmental organizations in the implementation of the strategic health plan of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as well as discussing the health-related sustainable development objectives in the Member States of the OIC.
