Health Leaders Pay an Inspection Tour of the Southern Border’s Hospitals

As part of the inspection tours carried out by the leaders of the Ministry of Health (MOH) to the Ministry’s facilities across the Kingdom’s regions and provinces, a team including the Deputy Minister of Health for Hospitals Affairs, Dr. Nahar bin Muzki Al-Azmi, the Director-General of MOH Emergency, Dr. Tarek bin Salem Al-Arnos and the Advisor to His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health, Dr. Adel Tash, has conducted an inspection tour of the Southern Border’s hospitals on Thursday. The visit included Al-Harth Hospital, Samta Hospital and King Fahad Hospital in Jazan, in addition to Sharora General Hospital and Al-Wadiya health center on the border with Yemen, which is dealing currently with large numbers of Yemeni patients and pilgrims. 

The visiting team conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, to all the workers and leaders.

Meanwhile, the team has met with the directors of health affairs, the assistants, directors of hospitals, physicians, nursing staff and technicians working in these hospitals, and get acquainted with efforts they exert to serve patients whether citizens or Yemeni brothers.
 
Within the same vein, the team has met with a number of patients and the wounded people and listened to their remarks on the services provided by these hospitals, in addition to discussing the challenges and the efficiency of support provided by the ministry and the other regions. 

At the end of the tour, the visiting team stressed that the visit aimed at checking on the readiness of MOH's facilities along the Southern Border to support the Operation Hope Restoration, and ensuring that the health services provided by the Ministry are well integrated with the ones provided by the other governmental and private health bodies. Another objective behind this visit was to take a closer look at the workflow in MOH facilities in the southern regions, in addition to identifying the obstacles and difficulties facing those who are in charge of these facilities to help overcome them. Furthermore, the visit targeted showing the keen interest of the Ministry's leadership in contacting with citizens, identifying their suggestions and meeting their needs regarding the health services provided in their whereabouts, with a view to developing the performance and upgrading health services provided for citizens.

It is worth mentioning that the MOH health facilities at the southern borderline keep on providing their therapeutic and ambulance services and stand fully ready around the clock to deal with any emergencies, after the best modern equipment and the qualified medical teams, especially in the emergency and IC sections, have been provided for the hospitals of these regions scattered in all cities and provinces. Over and above, these health facilities have applied a quality plan to deal with the emergencies and crises that might occur -Allah Forbids-. In addition, a number of simulations were conducted in collaboration with all relevant health sectors.
