Dr. Tarif Al-A‘ma Named Deputy Minister of Health for Therapeutic Services

His Excellency the Acting Minister of Health, Eng. Adel bin Muhammad Faqih, has issued today a ministerial resolution mandating Dr. Tarif bin Yusuf Al-A‘ma to undertake the tasks and responsibilities as the Deputy Minister for Therapeutic Services for one year, starting from the date of the adoption of this resolution.
 
Thus, Dr. Tarif Al-A‘ma superseded Dr. Al-Hemaidi. On this occasion, it didn’t escape Eng. Faqih’s notice to thank Dr. Al-Hemaidi, and laud his strenuous efforts during his work tenure.
 
This resolution comes within the framework of the MOH’s trends to developing its administrative output, and rotate the senior positions; with a view to pushing the development wheel and upgrading the technical and administrative work, as well as attracting the varied experiences that cover as much of the comprehensive services provided to citizens as possible.
 
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Tarif Al-A‘ma used to work as a Consultant of internal medicine, geriatrics and memory diseases at the Faculty of Medicine in King Abdulaziz University (KAU). He is a holder of the American and Canadian Board in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics (2006 – 2007), and the fellowship in Alzheimer, Memory Diseases and Osteoporosis. That is to be added to his previous work as a Consultant in internal medicine and geriatrics at the University of Western Ontario in Canada, from which he earned the PhD degree in internal medicine and geriatrics.
