Health Days 2015

World Tuberculosis (TB) Day
This annual event is marked on March 24th of every year to commemorate Dr. Robert Koch's discovery, in 1882, for tubercle bacillus causing tuberculosis, which was the first step towards diagnosing the disease and its treatment. Of the 9 million people who get sick with TB a year, a third of them do not receive the needed anti-TB services. Many of these 3 million people live in the world’s poorest population.
