Viral Hepatitis
​Liver is the organ responsible for detoxification of blood and combating inflammations. Yet, when infected or damaged, its vital function is impaired. Also, alcohol, toxins, certain drugs in some medical cases, among other reasons, cause viral hepatitis. However, hepatitis is mostly caused by ingestion of (A, B, C, D or E) viruses.
 
The most common symptoms of hepatitis include Jaundice (a yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes), dark urine, nausea and vomiting. In some cases, patients recover with no complications or treatment, while others may evolve into chronic hepatitis leading to cirrhosis or liver cancer.
